It is presented as the dialogue between a teacher (Guru) and student
(Sishya), in response to questions by a student on realisation of the self.
Dialogue translates as:
Guru: How do you see?
Guru: How do you see?
What is that light that helps you see?
Sishya: I see with the help of the Sunlight
Guru: How do you see in the night?
Sishya: I see with the help of a lamp or the Moon light
Guru: How do you see the light?
Sishya: I see with the help of the Sunlight
Guru: How do you see in the night?
Sishya: I see with the help of a lamp or the Moon light
Guru: How do you see the light?
How do you see even before you
open your eyes?
or close your eyes?
Sishya: I see with my intellect
Guru: What helps you see (know) that intellect?
Sishya: That it is me (as pure consciousness)
Guru: Yes, You are that supreme light
Sishya: I realize that I am the self-luminous self
Sishya: I see with my intellect
Guru: What helps you see (know) that intellect?
Sishya: That it is me (as pure consciousness)
