Sade Sat (7 1/2 years of Saturn - Janma Rasi (Moon Rasi)


 1. Introduction: 
A person suffers from a Sade Sat gets worse results of his life during Sade Sat period. The zodiac has twelve rashis.  The Saturn takes 2 ½ years to cover a single rashi and 30 years to complete twelve rashies. So, Saturn covers 3 rashis in   seven and an half years. The rashi in which the Moon is placed is  Janma rashi.  If Saturn enters the twelfth house from the moon then the first phase of Sade Sat begins i.e., first 2 1/2 years.  If the Saturn is in the Moon sign then second phase of Sad Sat begins i.e., 2 1/2 to 5 years. When the Saturn enters the second house from the moon then the third phase of Sade Sat begins i.e., 51/2 to 7 years. The planet Saturn transits the twelfth, the first, the second house from the moon during the seven and an half years period that is Sade Sat period- according to the Indian Vedic astrology.   From this it is clear that the Moon sign is important do decide Sade Sat. For example if the constellation during the time of birth is Aswini then the Moon will be in Aries (Mesha) So, the Janma Rasi  is Mesha according to the Indian Astrology.  Similarly Bharani and  Krittica-1 padam will be in Mesha Rashi.  In this context Sade Sat begins for Mesha Rashi if the Planet Saturn transits in Meena (12) Rashi, in Mesha (1) and in Vrishabha rasis (2) for a period of 7 1/2 years. 
2.  Bad Effects of Sade Sat
The planet Saturn during the Sade Sat period  gives lot of troubles, problems, trials and difficulties in a person's  life with reference to health, wealth, happiness and relations.
1.  The Saturn's transit in 12th house from the Moon effects- the parents, the near relatives even causing their death. It  affects the financial status of the person and involves in heavy expenditure. Saturn in 12th from moon also gives  problems related job, health, family and problems in traveling. 
2. The Saturn's transit in the first house (Janmam)  affects the health, domestic life, the professional career of the person that results in the change of place. Failures, disturbances, lack mental peace, insanity,  physical and mental weakness and diseases are common. He loses all his friends.
3. The Saturn's transit in the second house from moon affects the persons wife and children resulting in unhappiness, unhappy conjugal life, heavy expenditure and losses. 
3. Good effects of Sade Sat

Sade Sat  also give good results depending on an individual's horoscope and the dasa and bhuktis.  If the ascendant and its lord is strong and well placed the bad effects gets minimized. The person enters in to higher courses educationally during the above period or may complete a course and get a job, may be married or may have issues.  It is always better to be very careful during the above period and it is a testing period in the individual's life for either good or bad future.
4. Remedies for Sade Sat

1. The bad effects of sade sat will be minimised by prayers and devotion. 2. Pray to Lord Shiva, perform Rudrabhishekam and visiting  temples minimises the bad effects.  3. Recite Hanuman Chalisa as many times as possible every day after bath during the morning time.  4. Tila-danam is a good solution. 5. Light a gingily (Sesamum) oil lamp in your prayer hall and meditate for at-least 12 minutes.  6. Wear a good Blue Sapphire to the middle finger. 7. Service or Seva is a good solution to the problems. 8. Donate clothes and feed the poor if money and time permits.  9. Recite Vishnu Sahasra nama stotram or Siva sahasrnama storam to obtain the divine grace. 10. Try to improve your personality during Sade Sat. 11. Apply ABCD formula A- Aim Good, B- Be Good, C- See Good and Do Good.
